Artist on the Come Up: Soupy

Soupy (Anthony Howard) is a national Gospel Rap recording Artist. Born and raised in the streets of Cleveland, Ohio, Soupy had a regular child hood attending Cleveland municipal schools. Trouble didn’t kick in for Soupy until his teenage years. He started doing tattoos at the age of 17 which came with women, drugs, and money!

Soupy decided to turn his life around 3 years later by deciding to attend church and being baptized. That only lasted a few month before he was back in the streets even deeper than before. It was only finding out that he was about to be a father that made Soupy want to better himself.

Soupy then prayed to God with urgency and God heard his cry for help! Soupy believes God sent Dominique, which became his wife after two years, to introduce him to something more than just a church – Jesus Christ. Soupy was baptized in the name of Jesus and found how worship and reading the word of God (the Bible) will equip you for any situation that arrises in life.

Being saved 4 years Soupy is out on faith with his music ministry. Bodly preaching the Gospel and ready to light the way to Christ. Listen to the journey of Soupy to Salvation through his uplifting music that will not allow you to feel alone but to live and know that God Is loving, graceful, and almighty!
