I was around 15 or 16 years old when I first started but I’ve always loved music of course but when I wanted to actually wanted to pursue Music I was around 18 or 19 years old I was getting good feedback from people  know but now that I’m older I’m getting feedback back from independent artist and also music producers in the music industry.

Who or what are your biggest influences, both musically and outside of music?

How does your personal life or background shape your creative process?

Basically, the struggle I’ve been through and how far I came till now

Can you walk us through your creative process from idea to finished project?

Yes, so I would listen to a beat. I like it within the first 30 seconds or five to it. That’s when I decide to you know come up with a concept or idea that I’m gonna talk about whether it’s the beat of the title of the beat or just something I’m going through at the time that matches the title of the beat or anything like that so I do punch in. I do write my own music and I also produce my own music.

Basically, I take a break for a little bit from me and then come back and see what I can turn into my emotions how I’m feeling at that time

What sets you apart from other artists coming up right now?

I feel like a lot of people talk about the same thing they don’t really talk about real stuff. Yeah they talk about stuff they doing, but it’s only gonna last so long. It’s not gonna be forever because you can talk about something for 3 or 4 years people gonna like it a lot of people wanna like it at the time, but later on in the future is gonna get old

Is there a song, project, or piece of work that feels especially personal to you? Why?

I feel like all my songs feel personal to me because I take it serious. You know I love music. I’ve always loved music a lot of people love music, but do you really love music and why because it’s just a feeling that you get in your gut and you’re in your heart.

Keyan7e “I ain’t finished this song yet”

I wanted to share with you this really interesting new single from Chicago’s Keyan’7e. His new song is called “I ain’t finish the song yet”, and it features strong nauances of Detroit vibe rap and R&B.

Lyrically, though, this song is a vibrant mix of life experiences, drawing on his witty freestyle. After setting off in a state of improvisation, the bars piled up, and before the track was even done it was being mastered into a single, hence the title, “I ain’t finish the song yet.”

“This release definitely has a hype vibe,” keyan7e says. “so you need to be in the car and turn that joint all the way up and enjoy.” This song does contain some naughty lyrics.

Artist on the Come Up: Toast

Toast is an upcoming artist in the Canadian music scene and he’s bringing a unique style and flavour with him. His exclusive style of rapping, singing, and performing is to be respected. He calls himself Toast, because like a toast, his songs are well thought out, short meaningful words meant to pay tribute, encourage, and inspire.

Toast was born Jovian Robotham on May 23, 1991 to a small family in Toronto. Toast grew up in Brampton where he discovered his love for music as a child. His love for music stems from his father’s love for music, who filled their home with music from many different genres including hip hop, reggae, and jazz. Toast had a particular interest in jazz, and grew to respect the art. Toast felt that although jazz music did not have lyrics, the sounds and melodies told a story. Toast decided he would create his own stories with the jazz melodies he was fond of. As Toast grew older, and more interested in rap music, he grew respect for the art form and the artist, however, he did not feel like he could relate to the lyrics of the artist on a personal level so he found his own inspirations and began to tell his own stories through rap music. Toasts stories’ and music is influenced by his life, family, peers, fans, and music.
Toast is not only a rapper, he is a true artist. His stories delivered through music paints pictures that fills the mind’s canvas. He inspires others through his music and encourages them to never give up on their dreams regardless of how crazy it sounds. His music is a sound of inspiration and it always tells a story. Toast shares his life experiences and his own inspirations into his music so his listeners could really feel him, be inspired, and understand his view that success is attainable but only if you’re willing to grind and put in the work necessary to achieve that success. There’s so much to be heard from Toast, so follow the breadcrumbs and you won’t be disappointed. Toast is live from the 905 and he doesn’t make believe— he makes believers!
